PERGOLA

We knew when we set out to find a contractor for our project that it was going to be a difficult task. We had a unique shape to the back of our home, which required someone with a great deal of experience and imagination to custom design our pergola. We interviewed several contractors, all of whom, either could not figure out how to proceed in building it or ended up flaking on us. After a long and daunting process, we finally met Sean. Right from the start, we knew Sean was our guy. Sean was very friendly and exhibited a great deal of excitement and professionalism. He really seem to truly listen to what we were looking for and came up with several ideas for us. He spent a great deal of time going back-and-forth on his blueprints in order to ensure that we were getting exactly what we wanted, and that our pergola would be structurally sound, as well as Beautiful.

Something that is not very common, but when he and his crew began working on our project , they were always very prompt, reliable, and good at communicating with us throughout the entire process. I have worked with contractors in the past, and there is always that stigma that they can be somewhat flaky. We never found this to ever be the case with Sean. He was always right on top of everything and his team. He truly has an amazing team when it came to everything from the building of our structure, laying tile and electrical! We could not be more pleased with our entire experience working with him, from start to finish. The end result speaks for itself! We are constantly getting compliments on how beautiful our patio/pergola came out. It truly did exceed our expectation, as did Sean!

I would highly recommend Sean to anyone looking for a contractor who prides himself on excellence, professionalism, integrity and who is very hard-working, along with the rest of his team. My husband and I both look forward to working with him again at some point down the line when we have another project.

OUTDOOR RETREAT

We own a vacation summer cabin that was busting at the seems with family members and it was obvious we needed more space. I engaged with Sean early in the process to talk through a wide range of topics from design, cost, and timeline. At all phases of the planning process, Sean and his team were collaborative and knowledgeable. Often, they provided great feedback and design ideas that I would have missed or not considered. The project was a standalone unit that included a bedroom and full bath, with a wraparound deck.

The result and execution was beyond what I could have anticipated! Sean and his team work quickly and efficiently to build the project in the timeframe we discussed. There were frequent updates and when it came to selecting materials and finishes, Sean offered up some of the best resources. The finished product is visible to the local community and the compliments are frequent. We are beyond happy with the result and I would absolutely recommend Sean/Mahre Construction from anything from a renovation to full build.

  • Sean helped renovate a guesthouse that had severe damage due to rain, causing rot and rodent entry. He replaced the exterior siding and foundation planks, redid the soffits, and installed waterproof building wraps. Sean also solved numerous problems such as old electrical wires, a tilting water tank, updated ancient bathrooms, and replaced lighting. Sean and his crew are thorough in their workmanship and a pleasure to work with. We couldn't be happier with the results and highly recommend Sean for any renovation project.

  • Remodeling can be a real difficult time for many people, and getting someone in your home that you feel good about is a daunting task. Interviews are time consuming for both parties but necessary if you don’t have any personal referrals. So here is a team I would totally recommend. They did a master bath remodel down to the studs for us, And the work came out just as we hoped. Sean has Excellent communication skills. He keeps you posted on the progress of your job, and has a great team who keep him in the loop. The job site is cleaned after the day is complete, and they arrive on time. The Subcontractors Sean works with are just as good as his regular crew and they all communicated well with Sean’s guys and us also. As for the final product, it showed the care and expertise of all the workers involved and we are still delighted with how it all came together. If your looking for a good working machine, nice guys and a reasonable price for good work, you should give Sean a call and discuss your next project.
